Flaming Gorge Reservoir provides outstanding opportunity for
boating, fishing, skiing, jet skiing, houseboating and other water
sports. Many Full-service marinas offer launching, storage and
maintenance facilities.
The reservoir surface water is cool even during the heat of summer.
That means the reservoir provides excellent habitat for trout,
and it is invigoratingly cool for water skiers.
Boating Lake Flaming Gorge is an aquatic paradise. Motor boating, sailing,
swimming, windsurfing, water skiing, fishing, and scuba diving
are among the lake's popular recreation activities.

Houseboats are
available at Lucerne Valley Marina and it is easy to escape to
a secluded cove.
"The Gorge" is bordered by forested mountains in spots
and has sandy beaches in other areas. It offers excellent powerboating,
skiing and world-class fishing. Top-notch facilities and boat
rentals are available. Part of this reservoir extends into Wyoming. Water Sports Flaming Gorge Reservoir has it all, whether it's a day out on
the lake with your family or an adventure trip for the passionate
watersports enthusiast. Wake boarding, water skiing, tubing, and
personal watercrafts (PWC) are common sights and are welcomed
on the lake. Lucerne Valley Marina offers skis
and ropes, tubes, and life vest rental .
For water skiing and wakeboarding, to get the best glassy water,
we recommend water skiing in the earlier morning or in the late
evening.
